This Curiosity Snapshot provides a cross-curriculum introduction to historical beliefs, medieval society, and human behaviour through history, sociology, science, mathematics, creativity, and inquiry.
Learners explore how people explained the world before modern scientific understanding by examining superstition, religion, fear, and social influence.
They investigate real historical events, including witch trials, and consider how culture, authority, and limited knowledge shaped the way people thought and acted.
The snapshot supports the development of skills in questioning, analysing evidence, recognising patterns, organising information, and communicating ideas in different ways.
The snapshot is designed using inclusive learning principles, supporting diverse learning needs through self-paced exploration, clear instructions, flexible activity options, visual supports, and multiple ways for learners to engage, create, and reflect.
A Curiosity Snapshot is a single learning experience within the larger Curiosity Collection.
Each snapshot introduces a topic through exploration, creative activities, and reflection.
