This Curiosity Snapshot provides a cross-curriculum introduction to fantasy worlds, imaginative storytelling, mapping, geography, creativity, and world-building through English, Humanities, The Arts, Design Technologies, and inquiry.
Learners explore imaginary lands, investigate fantasy maps and hidden places, discover how kingdoms and communities are designed, and examine the quests and adventures that bring fantasy worlds to life. Along the way, learners develop skills in observation, questioning, mapping, creative thinking, planning, comparing ideas, recording information, communication, and imaginative design.
Each Snapshot is designed using inclusive learning principles, supporting diverse learning needs through self-paced exploration, clear instructions, flexible activity options, visual supports, and multiple ways for learners to engage, create, and reflect.
A Curiosity Snapshot is a single learning experience within the larger Curiosity Collection. Each snapshot introduces a topic through exploration, creative activities, and reflection.
