that’s not something to fix.
We prioritise curiosity because it fuels engagement, focus, and deeper understanding.
Instead of rigid structures, we create flexible learning pathways that adapt to your child’s interests, strengths, and pace.
When curiosity leads, learning becomes more natural and consistent. Your child feels less pressure, more motivation, and builds skills in a way that actually sticks.

I’m Alix Hudgson-Stewart, a qualified teacher (Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Monash University, 2003) and the founder of Learning That Fits, bringing together professional expertise and lived experience of neurodiversity.
As an educator and parent, I design learning experiences that build on strengths, support diverse needs, and allow learners to engage in ways that work for them. With children who are navigating challenges within mainstream schooling, I understand the importance of curriculum that genuinely fits the learner — not the other way around. This perspective shapes everything I create.
With over 6 years of teaching experience across primary and secondary settings, and a further 8 years working within the Department of Education, I bring a deep understanding of how systems work — and where they often fall short for many learners.
My work is grounded in inclusive, evidence-based practice. I am currently undertaking credentials in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and a Certificate IV in Career Development, strengthening my ability to design learning that is flexible, purposeful, and relevant.
I believe every learner deserves access to high-quality education. Learning should engage curiosity, build independence, and open meaningful pathways — not create barriers.
We have extensive experience working with neurodivergent learners and understand how mainstream education can often miss the mark. Rigid systems can lead to frustration, disengagement, and burnout, particularly for young people with diverse learning profiles, including neurodiversity and chronic health needs. Our approach is grounded in real-world practice, not assumptions. We understand what supports learning effectively, what creates barriers, and how to adapt. Everything we design is intended to reduce pressure, support focus, and help each learner engage in ways that genuinely suit them.
