This Curiosity Collection provides a cross-curriculum exploration of ocean legends, mythical sea creatures, storytelling, geography, English, design, creativity, and inquiry.
Learners investigate mermaids, legendary sea monsters, magical adaptations, underwater kingdoms, enchanted treasures, and sea legends from different cultures while discovering how imagination is often inspired by the real ocean and the remarkable animals that live beneath the waves. They compare stories from around the world, explore the connections between fantasy and nature, and use creative thinking to design original creatures, magical objects, and imaginative underwater worlds.
The Collection is designed using inclusive learning principles, supporting diverse learning needs through self-paced exploration, clear instructions, flexible activity options, visual supports, and multiple ways for Wonder Seekers to engage, create, build, and reflect.
A Curiosity Collection includes multiple Wonder activities completed over several sessions.
Each activity introduces new ideas through exploration, investigation, and creative design, leading to a final project where Wonder Seekers combine what they have learned.
The Collection includes:
Each Curiosity Collection takes learners on a Wonder Learning Journey.
