This Curiosity Snapshot provides a cross-curriculum introduction to inventions through science, history, design, technology, and creative inquiry.
Learners explore how inventions are created, how they work, and how people in different cultures and times have developed tools, machines, and technologies to solve problems. They investigate inventions from around the world, including Australian and First Nations technologies, and discover how ideas are tested, improved, and redesigned over time while developing skills in questioning, investigation, problem-solving, and creative thinking.
The snapshot is designed using inclusive learning principles, supporting diverse learning needs through self-paced exploration, clear instructions, flexible activity options, visual supports, and multiple ways for learners to engage, create, and reflect.
A Curiosity Snapshot is a single learning experience within the larger Curiosity Collection. Each snapshot introduces a topic through exploration, creative activities, and reflection.
